[LITMUS^RT] liblitmus installation (kernel installation)

I am pretty new in linux and in litmus and i have followed the instructions installing successfully the litmus kernel first .

Afterwards however trying to install the liblitmus i get the message that the kernel couldnt be found.


(!!) Could not find a LITMUS^RT kernel at ../litmus_rt: invalid path. cannot find header.
(!!) Are you sure the path is correct?
(!!) Run 'make dump-config' to see the build configuration.
(!!) Edit the file .config to override the default configuration.
Makefile:280: *** Cannot build without access to the LITMUS^RT kernel source.  Stop.

That's why i am wondering what went wrong during the installation of the kernel or am i doing sth wrong during the installation of liblitmus.
