[LITMUS^RT] Implementing changes in Litmus^RT

Hi,
As part of my Master's Dissertation, I am trying to implement some changes
in Litmus^RT.

1. How to test the modified code in Litmus^RT ? Should I compile and reboot
the modified kernel after every edit to check if it's working ?
2. Could I use the Litmus^RT source code available in github ? Is it any
different from the one given in www.litmus-rt.org/src/litmus-rt.git ?
